Steven Covey says: “What you do has far greater impact than what you say.” I am the founder and Executive Director of Balance House. I was born in Soweto (Johannesburg) and later moved to a township called Ga- Rankuwa (Pretoria) with my family where I have spent most of my years growing up. I completed my schooling in Hoërskool Warmbad, and then went on to study with the University of South Africa where I obtained my Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Science. I have been involved in various initiatives and leadership positions of community organisations as well as school and tertiary bodies.
I started my career in 2012 as an Accounting Lecturer at Varsity College Pretoria, and in 2013 I was appointed as the first ever full time Senior Lecturer for commerce programmes at Varsity College Pretoria. On furthering my studies with the University of South Africa, I completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Tertiary Education (Cum laude), and I am currently pursuing my Masters in Adult Education.
I have a passion for developing leadership and enhancing knowledge amongst the youth and therefore founded Balance House, which I aspire to see developing key leadership characteristics, knowledge, intelligence and cognitive skills within the youth in order to benefit the society and economy in general.
